Scenes from A Fountain Sealed, a new opera by Nathan Williamson to a libretto by Thomas Walton.
An unashamedly romantic yet timely and compelling new work, A Fountain Sealed explores the conflicts between individual relationships and the contemporary Church, and the tensions between personal faith, private passions and public image. The evening will begin with a short discussion on the work's origins with composer, librettist and director.

After the interval, the thoughts of children and nursery rhymes move to the reflections of a long and well-lived life in this romantic Salmagundi of Song, concluding the evening with some of the most famous and best-loved items of the entire vocal repertoire.
--- This year's Festival will also be accompanied by an Exhibition of paintings in Sophie's Barn by George Irvine. George is a local artist who works from his studio in Oxfordshire, frequently exhibiting in the local area and across the UK. See www.georgeirvinefineart.co.uk
